Funeral services for Otto Michael (Mike) Finger, jr., 51, of 62 Country Club Lane Fort Madison, Iowa were held at Barr Memorial Chapel at 8 pm Tuesday. January 27 Following the services there, the body was taken to the Brinkopf Funeral
Home, Cape Girardeau, Mo., and graveside services were held at 10 am Thursday, at Lindsey Cemetery. McClure, Ill.
Mr Finger, who was general manager of Radio Station KXGI and vice president of the Talley Broadcasting Company, died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, January 25, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy. He had been in failing health since January 1 and seriously ill two weeks. He was a resident of Auburn for several years living east of Auburn near the REA.
He was past president of the Fort Madison Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club and a former member of the board of trustees of Robert Morris College, Carthage. Ill
A Marine Corp veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was instrumental in the founding of the Illiamo Fidelis detachment of the Marine Corp League and was commandant of the detachment. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
Mr Finger was born March 9, 1924 at Seventy Six, Mo. On April 27, 1947 at Cape Girardeau, Mo., he was married to Velma B. (Sally) Hinkle, who survives. Also surviving is one son, Otto Michael Finger III of Fort Madison.
