Judith Ann Monahan, four-months-old daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Monahan, Lake sunnyside was suffocated Saturday about 11 A. M. when she apparently rolled over onto her face in her crib and became tangled in the bed clothing.
Dr. Sigmund Weiss of Hudson Falls was called and administered artificial respiration without success. The inhalator of the Glens Falls fire department was sent for and taken to the scene by Junior Captain William F. Haviland and Fireman Eugene F Lynch of the Ridge Street station. The child was pronounced dead at 11:15.
A verdict of accidental death was rendered by Dr. Patrick H. Huntington of Warrensburg, Warren County coroner. The body was removed to the Bullard, Regan and Stafford Funeral Home, 221 Glen Street and later taken to the home of her aunt
Mrs. George L. Finger, 10 Mechanic Street, Hudson Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A. M., today at the home of her aunt.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Besides her parents, the child is survived by her grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Monahan of Hudson Falls and
Mr. and Mrs. Preston J. Carpenter of Lake Sunnyside and her greatgrandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Carpenter, Lake Sunnyside and
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beecher, Hudson Falls. The baby's mother was formerly
Miss Betty Jane Carpenter of Lake Sunnyside. -
