William H. Cherry, Jr., son of
Mr. and Mrs. William Cherry of Ridgeneld Park. N. J. The wedding date has not been set. -

Miss Hilda A. Finger of 142-26 Franklin avenue, Flushing, daughter of Floyd E. Finger of Saugerries, N. Y, became the bride of the Rev. William H. Cherry Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs W. H. Cherry of Ridgefleid Park. N. J. in the First Baptist Church of Flushing. The Rev. Martin F. Clough, pastor, officiated.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an all-white hand brocaded satin gown with a sweet-heart neck, She also wore a fingertip veil, white satin slippers and carried a bouquet of white carnations, white snapdragons and baby's breath. Mrs. Althea Lewis of Flushing was matron of honor and only attendant. Her gown was of pale pink carnations. The Rev. Thomas J. Cherry was best man. Ushers were the Misses Lois Moore, Louise Hancock, Ethel Aiken and Elenora Cooke. A reception for 50 was held at the Franklin avenue address.
The couple left on a wedding trip upstate. They will live at Ypsilanti, Mich. The Rev. Cherry and his bride are graduates of Bob Jones College, Cleveland, Ternn. - Long Island Star Journal June 2, 1944
