STANLEY - Miss Penelope S. Tears carried a white Bible with red roses when she married Larry P. Webber on Sunday, June 7 in Bethel Baptist Church of Gorham. The Rev. Clyde J. Hurlbutt, the bride's grandfather, performed the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. Mrs. Bruce Allen was the organist and Miss Cindy Knapton was the soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence E. Tears of 4110 Flint Road.
The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Webber of Martville.
Bouquets of blue and white carnations with baby's breath decorated the altar. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a traditional long white wedding gown and fingertip veil. Attending the couple were Miss Karen Parr of Rochester and Rick Perkins of Williamson.
An open house was given at the home of the bride's parents on June 27. For their honeymoon, the couple went to the cottage of the bridegroom's grandmother, located on Lake Ontario at Ontario Bible Conference Grounds.
The bride is a 1980 graduate of Marcus Whitman Central School and is employed as a baby sitter for Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hanna of Canandaigua. The bridegroom attended Sunnyside Christian Academy and is employed by Robert Dancause. The couple lives on West Swamp Road, Rushville. - Finger Lakes Times July 18, 1981
