Fred L. Tripp passed away on Monday, April 9th, at his birthplace at Pulvers Corner. He had been ill for some time. He was born June 15, 1865, a son of Henry and Catherine MacArthur Tripp. Mr. Tripp had worked the homestead farm until his retirement 25 years ago. His wife, Minnie Goold, died in August of 1941. Mr. Tripp had served the Town of Pine Plains as Democratic committeeman and was supervisor for about two years, beginning March of 1909 when he was appointed to fill out the term of Jacob Hinsdale, who had passed away. Mr. Tripp was a life member of Stissing Lodge, F. & A. M. and a 50-year member of Pine Plains Grange 803. Surviving are a son, G. Harold Tripp, Pine Plains two daughters, Mrs. Losee Ferris, Poughkeepsie, and Mrs. Morton Fingar, Elizaville 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Roberts' Funeral Home this morning at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Richard W. Moore, minister of the Pine Plains Methodist church, will officiate, Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Stissing Lodge will conduct services at the grave.
