Edward G. Finger, 62, of 86 Younglove Ave., Cohoes, an Army veteran of World War II, died Thursday at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a short illness. A native of Troy, he was the son of the late Peter and Balbina Stortz Finger. A Troy resident most of his life before moving to Cohoes, Finger served in the Pacific Theater in World War II. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Edward Boyer of Cohoes and Mrs. Wilfred Savoie of Schenectady, and two brothers, Joseph Weidenbacher of Eagle Mills and Peter R. Finger of Green Island. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, and at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Church where a Mass of the Resurrection will be offered. Interment will be in St Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. The Times Record November 5, 1971
