Mrs. Florence Peelor Ackerman, 49, wife of Louis Ackerman, died at her home in Poughkeepsie, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Philip R. Peelor and the late Anna Affleck Peelor of Madalin, but had resided in Poughkeepsie for 17 years. Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Vera Jean, Edith and Elizabeth Ackerman her father and two brothers J. Rodney Peelor and Percival H. Peelor of Poughkeepsie. - The Red Hook Times August 28, 1941
