Miss Maggie E. Stickles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Stickles, of Blue Store, was united in marriage to Clayton A. Stickles, of Livingston Wednesday. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Frank Jones, of Manorton, under an arch of evergreens, at the home of the bride.
The decorations were of potted plants, cut flowers and autumn foliage.
The bride wore a white satin gown with pearl trimmings and carried bride roses. She was attended by Miss Leia Stickles, of Livingston, sister of the groom, who was gowned in white satin, and carried carnations. The best man was Eugene Knickerbocker of Clermont. Ushers were Frank Fingar of Blue Store, and Fred Stickles, of Livingston.
The wedding march was played by Mrs. Thomas E. Tinklepaugh. The bride's gift to her bridesmaid was a gold brooch. The groom's gift to the best man was a gold watch fob. The gifts to the ushers were gold stick pins.
After the ceremony a reception was tendered the couple, after which they left for Niagara Falls, where they will spend their honeymoon. There were nearly one hundred guests present from Brooklyn, Hudson, Stuyvesant Falls, Pine Plains, Schultzvllle, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Albany, Ancram, Elizaville and Yonkers. The bride is a young lady with a large circle of friends, and all wish her joy and happiness. Mr. Stickles is a chauffeur employed by Russell Foland. - Hudson Register October 12, 1911
