The general store in Elizaville will have a change of proprietor on March 1 when
Avery Sproack of Putnam Lake takes over from
Alfred L. Coons. Mr. Coons is retiring and moving to Florida this weekend. The store was built about 1893 for Miss
Alma Stickle, who ran it until 1916. Mr. Coons ran the store until 1923 and then purchased it from Miss Stickle, continuing as proprietor until now. -
