The death of William L. Fraleigh, of Clermont, announced In our column to-day, will be a surprise to his many friends in this county. Mr. Fraleigh was one of the few who for long years was known as the type of a reliable man. In the southern part of this county his name was synonymous with business and integrity. For nearly half a century he held offices in his town, and his homesty was unquestioned. During a period from 1849 up to his decease, he was a Justice of the Peace, from 1869 to 1873 he represented his town In the Board of Supervisors, and was frequently tendered positions which his modesty caused him to decline. He was postmaster at Nevis, and by his business correctness gave great satisfaction to all with whom he had relations of a publlc nature. In his death tbe community lost a faithful servant, and the unfortunate a kind friend. His funeral was largely attended by neighbors and friends who sympathize with his family in their bereavement..
