Bennie Lee Finger, 68, of Netawaka, Kansas, passed away February 2, 2006, at his home. Bennie was born on October 26, 1937, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the son of Christian & Mary Keller Finger.
He was a farmer, stockman, served in the U.S. Navy and was an Enviromental Scientist for the Kansas Department of Health & Enviroment, USDA and Duane Mueting Engineering Corp.
On June 7, 1959, he married Cathryne "Joan" Firkins in Wetmore, Kansas.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Powhattan, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Joan of the home, son, Greg & wife DeeAnn Finger of Helper, Utah, two daughters, Teresa Salts of Topeka, Kansas, Christene & husband Dale Finger of Topeka, Kansas, brother, Chelmar Finger of Holton, Kansas, sister, Betty Edwards of St. Joseph, Missouri, three grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
