Miss Frieda L. Arms, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Arms of New York City, and Harry J. Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thompson, of Amenia, were married on Sunday, April 15, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Amenia. The Rev. John Kane, pastor, performed the ceremony at 2 o'clock.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sand gabaridine suit with navy accessories and a corsage of white camellias. Miss Kathryn Arms was her sister’s maid of honor and wore a dusty pink gabardine suit with navy accessories and a blue carnation corsage.
Miss Arms is a graduate of Walton High School in New York City and is employed at the Amenia telephone office. Mr. Thompson, a graduate of Amenia High School, is employed at the Foley & Thompson service station. - News Republican April 26, 1951
