Alexander Glus, 72, died Thursday at his home in Ardsley after a long illness.
Mr. Glus was born May 15, 1912, in Yonkers, where he attended school. He moved to Ardsley from New York City in 1975 when he retired as a deputy clerk with the state Supreme Court system in Manhattan.
Mr. Glus served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Yonkers.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jean McGregor, whom he married May 12, 1962, in New York City; a brother, John, a former Yonkers police officer who lives in Passaic, N.J.; and a sister, Anna Finger, of the Bronx. Two brothers, Harry and Nicholas, and a sister, Eve Barr, died earlier. - Gannett Westchester Newspapers April 26, 1985
