Found him on the 1940 Rochester, Monroe, New York census (dist 65-162 img 7) as William R. Finger age 14.

WWII Draft Registration

Born in Ulster County NY Bill Finger first moved to Waterloo NY then to Rochester, NY and finally Honeoye Falls where he and his wife Barbara raised a family of three children.

Bill worked almost his entire adult life for McCurdy & Company as a decorator and then a furniture buyer where he traveled the world buying both wood furniture and upholstered goods for sale at McCurdy & Co.
