Miss Marilyn Lynk, daughter of Mrs. George S. Hall, 359-A Hackett Blvd., was married this afternoon to David R. Fingar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Fingar, Germantown.
The ceremony took place in the First Church in Albany, the Rev. Frederick Zimmerman officiating at a double ring service.
The bride, given in marriage by her stepfather, wore a floor length gown of white embroidered organdy with strapless bodice and bouffant skirt, matching jacket and headdress. She carried baby orchids.
Miss Barbara A. Mich, Germantown, maid of honor, wore an ankle length gown of Nile green embroidered organdy with matching jacket and headdress. She carried apricot color roses with yellow roses.
Peter Fingar was best man for his brother. Ushers were Joseph Gerace, Jamestown, and Lyle P. Fingar Jr., Germantown, cousin of the bridegroom.
The reception was at Duncan's. The bride's mother wore a teal blue crepe gown with navy accessories and corsage bouquet of stephanotis and ivy. Mrs. Fingar wore aquamarine crepe with white roses. Mr. Fingar and his bride left for Cape Cod, the bride wearing an aquamarine suit with brown accessories.
The bride, a graduate of Milne School and Union University School of Nursing, Class of 52, will complete her service at Albany Hospital Oct. 1. Mr. Fingar, stationed with the Coast Guard at Groton, Conn., is a graduate of Germantown High School and the General Motors Institute of Technology, Flint, Mich - The Knickerbocker News July 19, 1952
Penfield - Sunday, December 1, 2019 at age 88. Predeceased by her husband, David. Survived by her daughters, Deborah (David) McClurg and Lisa (Ronald) Iddings; grandchildren, Christopher (Nicole) McClurg, Meghan (Brandon) Frederick, Kelley McClurg (Michael Sevilla); great-grandchildren, Lucy, James and Eleanor; brother-in-law, Peter Fingar; grand-puppies, Blue, Tally, Gunner and Gus; and several nieces and nephews.
Lyn had such a full life. We share many wonderful memories, spending time with "Nanny" on the sailboat, family vacations, weekends at Swain, attending her grandchildren's events and especially all of the gathering and dinner parties that she loved to host.
