CANAAN. Nov. 3 - Minard Fowler, baggage master at the station, and Jennie Hallenbeck of Albany, were married at the parsonage October 27 by Rev. F. E. Carver. They motored to Albany, where they took a train for Boston to spend their honeymoon. They returned Sunday night and have their house rented and ready to go to housekeeping in Mrs. C. P. B. Williams' cottage.

Minard Ellsworth Fowler, 70, died Sunday morning at the West Branch Springside Nursing Home, Pitysfield, following a long illness. He was born in Canaan July 18, 1887, the son of Eugene and Augusta Knoblock Fowler, and spent his entire life there. For many years, he worked for the Boston and Albany Railroad - first as express agent and later as signalman. He was one of the last four charter members of the Canaan Volunteer Fire Company.
