Elian F. Pulver age 61, farmer.
Alias Pulver, 68 years old died Saturday at the Soldiers and Sailor's hospital. He had been ill since Wednesday and was confined to hospital for an operation but was too far gone.
He was a member of Penn Yan police force, having received appointment in March, this year. He had served as night patrolman. Mr. Pulver was a native of the town of Jerusalem and had served as road commissioner of that town, later he was elected sheriff of Yates county and served in that capacity from 1904 to 1906. He was the first sheriff in the new jail building. After his term expired he went to his farm in Jerusalem and remained until this year when he came to Penn Yan and resided on Elm street.
He leaves his widow, Alice Pulver, a son, Peter, a brother, William Pulver and a sister, Mrs. Samuel Wallace, all of Penn Yan and a sister Mrs. Grove Campbell of Syracuse.
