CHADWICKS - Leslie 'Bud' J Brown, 54 of 3585 Oneida St. Chadwicks, died July 3, in St Luke's Hospital. He was born in Utica, the son of Charles and Mary Mc Donald Brown. He was educated in Utica Schools, and was for many years employed as a machinist for Divine Bros of Utica, retiring in 1977 In 1943 he was married to Elizabeth Witchie in New Hartford. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1000 and the Textile Worker's Union. He was a WW II veteran and served in the Army with the 7th Armoured Division. Survivors include his wife. Elizabeth, two sisters. Mrs Glenn Marion Weaver of Gloversville and Mrs Dorothy Fingar of Florida one godson DonaldS Young, Jr. of Malone, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Florence Peckham Funeral will be Monday at 11 o'clock from the J. Donald Smith Funeral Home. Sauquoit, and burial will be in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery Calling hours will be Sunday. 2-4 and 7-9 - New York Observer July 5, 1981
Found him on the 1930 Utica, Oneida, New York census (dist 124 img 18) as Leslie Brown age 13.
