Penn Yan, March 14 - Thomas Pepper died Sunday at his home in Jerusalem, aged 78 years. He was born in Nottingham, England, and came to this country in 1886 and lived on the same farm on Bluff Point for twenty-five years. He leaves four sons and three daughters, Benjamin Pepper, of Nottingham, Eng. Thomas Pepper, Far Rockaway, R. I. George Pepper, Manchester, R. I. William Pepper, Bluff Point Mrs. Carrie Copson Guild, Bluff Point Mrs. Betsey Copson, Springfield, Mass. Mrs. Lucy Hamer, Manchester. N. H. There are also forty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Wednesday from his late home with burial in Bitley Cemetery. Rochester Democrat and Chronicle March 25, 1914
