PENN YAN - Funeral services for Sylvester E. Lounsberry, 82, Penn Yan RD 3, will be held at the Thayer Funeral Chapel at 2 p m. Thursday. The Rev. Orrie Stanton, pastor of the Branchport Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Mr. Lounsberry died Sunday at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. at the funeral chapel today, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Mr Lounsberry, a retired farmer and vineyardist, was born in Steuben County, the son of Charles and Sarah Brown Lounsberry. Surviving are three sons, Ernest, of Warwick, Va., Leland, of Penn Yan, and Durwood, of Penn Yan RD 3 three daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Sutton, of North Chili, Mrs Paul Bingham, of Rushville, and Mrs. Willis Roberts of Branchport four sisters, Mrs. Rilla Diven, Mrs. Ned Miller, Mrs. Jennie Hiler and Mrs. Cassie Conley all of Penn Yan 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
