Penn Yan, Dec. 16 - Miss Ethel Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Jackson of the town of Jerusalem, and Leonard B. Hopkins of Bluff Point were married at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony, which was witnessed by a large number of friends and relatives, was performed by Rev. J. Howard Perkins, pastor of St Mark's Episcopal church In this village. The bride's maid was Miss Leah Jackson, a sister of the bride, and the best man was Beecher Leonard, of Groveland. The bride wore a gown of white cashmere with fur and chiffon trimmings, while the bride's maid wore a pink silk gown. The house was beautifully decorated with evergreen and chrysanthemums. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served, Miss McMinn of this village, catering. The bride's table was also decorated with flowers and was set for twelve. Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins left on the afternoon Pennsylvania train for a wedding trip after which they will live in the town of Jerusalem. There were guests present from Penn Yan, Rochester, Geneva and Rushville. Among the prenuptial events was a kitchen shower given by Mrs. Henry Brown of Jerusalem. - Geneva Daily Times December 16, 1915
