The people in this community were saddened last week by the sudden passing of Miller Lasher, a life-long resident of this vicinity. His death occurred Thursday, July 15th, without warning, as he had been in usual health, except for an injury to his shoulder a couple weeks ago which was improving. He was about his farm as usual. He was the son of the late Samuel and Sarah Niver Lasher and was 61 years of age. He leaves besides his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Roland Brenzel of Red Hook and one grandson, Glenn Brenzel, two brothers, Frank and George, and three sisters, Lizzie, Kate and Amy, and a very large circle of friends, as he was an exceptionally good neighbor, always willing and ready to grant a favor. He was a member of the Reformed church and chairman of the Consistory. His funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Reformed church, in charge of F. S. Roberts & Son. Rev. W. A. Kilmer, pastor of the: Reformed church officiated. The church was nearly filled with relatives and friends. - The Register-Herald July 22, 1943. Found him on the 1920 Gallatin, Columbia, New York census (dist 16 img 8) as Miller Lasher age 37, dairy farmer.
