Mt Ross. March 19 - Mr and Mrs Urijah Kilmer of this village celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, March 13th at their home. The celebraton was very well attended by over severity-five friends or relatives of the couple. Mrs Kilmer was presented with a beautiful string of gold beads and Mr Kilmer was given a gold pen and pencil.
At twelve o'clock the party entered the dining room where a delicious meal was served. The table was attractively and tastefully decorated with white and-gold, in significance of celebration. Over the seats of honor hung a large bell under which Mr and Mrs Kilmer received many congratulations of their long years of happy married life.
Miss Alice E. Feller, daughter of the late Henry A. Feller and Urijah Kilmer, son of Eli Kilmer were married March 13, 1873 at the parsonage of the M. E. church by Rev. W. A. Mackey. For several years they lived on the Kilmer farm but in 1876 moved to their present home.
There were born to them three daughters and two sons, all of whom are living, Mrs Henry Brenzel, of Red Hook Mrs Willis Bathrick of Jackson Corners, Mrs Arthur Bathrick of Red Hook Harvey Kilmer, of Rhinebeck, and Rev. W. A. Kilmer of Fitchburg , Mass. They also have twelve grandchildren, all of whom are living. Mrs Arthur Bathrick, Mrs Willis Bathrick , Mrs Harvey Kilmer have been spending a few days with their parents, Mr and Mrs Urijah Kilmer. - The Columbia Republican March 20, 1923.
