Found her on the 1930 Hudson Falls, Washington, New York census (dist 34 img 17) as Barbara J. Chandler age 3. She and her divorced mother Beatrice M. Chandler are living with Beatrice's parents Frank and Lillian Cote.
The Methodist Church, Hudson Falls, was the scene on Sunday of the wedding of Miss Barbara Jane Chandler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Finger [must be an error. Barbara Jane is the daughter of Beatrice Cote and her first husband Glenn Chandler - 1930 census] of Hudson Falls, and Walter Clark Burdick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Burdick, also of Hudson Falls. The ceremony was performed at 1 p.m. by Rev. Ruford B. Cook, pastor.
Miss Barbara A. Bahr of Saratoga Springs was the maid of honor and serving as best man was Preston Denton of Glens Falls. The ushers were George L. Finger, brother of the bride, and Glen H Burdick, brother of the bridegroom. Presiding at the organ was Mrs. William H. Aubrey, who rendered 'Always,' 'Liebestraum' and the traditional wedding marches.
Given in marriage by her grandfather, Frank L. Cote, the bride wore a gown of white eyelet and carried an eyelet bag with white gloves and hat trimmed with veiling. Her corsage was of red rosea Her attendant was attired in an aqua crepe ensemble with white accessories and a white hat. Her corsage was of pink and white carnations.
The bride's mother wore a dusty pink afternoon dress and the bridegroom's mother chose a flowered silk jersey. They both wore corsages of sweet peas. A reception followed at the homeof the bride's parents.
The bride is a graduate of Hudson Falls High School and has been employed at the Glens Falls Hospital. The bridegroom, who also attended Hudson Falls High School, served with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment In Europe. He is now employed by the Schulte Cigar Store in Glens Falls.
The couple left on a wedding trip and will reside in Center Street, Hudson Falls, after Sept. 3. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Elliott L. Cote of Troy, Mrs R. S. Walker of Andover, Mass. Max V. Cote of Portland, Me. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Steenburgh of Schenectady, Mra G. F. Branch of Saratoga Springs, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Finger of Saugerties, Mrs. Charles Fuller, Miss Fannie Gallup, William H. Harrison of Saratoga Springs, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Burdick of Schenectady and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gurney of Corinth. - The Times Record August 27, 1946
