Found her on the 1930 Columbia, Herkimer, New York census (dist 1 img 1) as Grace M. Brown age 42.
MOHAWK - Grace W. Brown, 86, of 32 South Washington St., former owner and operator of the Denison Corners General Store, died Tuesday in Mohawk Valley General Hospital. She was born in Denison Corners, daughter of Albert and Mary Wollaber. She married DeWitt Brown in 1919. He died in 1955. Mrs. Brown owned and operated the Denison Corners General Store for more than 30 years. She had been a resident of Mohawk for four years.
She was a member of the Denison Comers Community Church, 50-year member of the Mohawk Order of the Eastern Star, member of tne Harmony Grange and the Herkimer County and National Granges. Surviving are four nieces, Mrs. Jack (Kay) Goppert of New Hartford, Mrs. Roger (Roberta) Barot of Canastota, Mrs. Herbert (Shirley) Leneker of Verona and Miss Jean Wollaber of Oneida two nephews, Albert Wollaber of Ilion and Ralph Wollaber of Alexandria, Va. The funeral will be at 11 Friday from the Applegate Funeral Home, Ilion, with burial in Denison Corners Cemetery this spring. The Daily Press Utica, NY February 21, 1974
