John H. Durham age 64, own income. His wife is
Harriet and this is his second marriage.
Another Civil War veteran passed away Wednesday of this week when John W. Durham, aged about 82 years, died at his home in Branchport following a prolonged illness.
Mr Durham was at one time commsnder of the Sloan Post, of which there are now but some 15 surviving members. When a young man he enlisted from Jerusalem in Co. I, 33rd New York Volunteers and was present with that company in its state service after May 14th. He was later mustered into Federal service.
4th corporal and on May 2, 1862 was promoted to sergeant. He also served in Co. F, of the 179th Infantry. During Grant's campaign at a battle near Petersburg Mr. Durham was shot in the shoulder.

John W. Durham died in the town of Jerusalem, November 10, 1926, leaving a gross estate of $20,744.05.
Debts, funeral expenses and commissions amounted to $2,443.36, leaving a net estate of $17,256.36, assessed as
