Brother Edward R Boyer, CSC, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward T. Boyer of 86 Younglove Ave., Cohoes, has been assigned as head of the music department at Cardinal Mooney High School, Rochester. He recently took final vows in the Congregation of the Holy Cross at ceremonies conducted at St. Joseph's Novitiate, Valatie. During the last year Brother Boyer served as a member of the faculty at Holy Cross High School, Flushing, L.I. A native of Cohoes he received his elementary schooling at St. Joseph's School, that city, a graduate of Vincentian Institute. Albany, he received his bachelor of arts degree from Notre Dame University, South Bend, Ind. Prior to leaving for his new assignment in Rochester, Boyer spent two weeks vacationing with his parents at Schroon Lake. - The Times Record September 9, 1963
