William Shannon died Wednesday afternoon, October 11, at 3:30 o'clock in his home in Washington street, Dundee, at the age ot 78 years. Death was due to paralysis, he having suffered a third shock the previous Sunday. Mr. Shannon was born in Lodi, Seneca county, January 27, 1838, and lived there during the greater part of his life. He went to Dundee about eleven years ago. He leaves two sons, Albert and Henry Shannon, both of Dundee one brother, Silas Shannon of Monterey and one sister, Mrs. Chas. Lane of Starkey. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home with burial in Hillside cemetery, Dundee. - Watkins Express October 18, 1916
Found him on the 1850 Lodi, Seneca, New York census (img 36) as William Shannon age 12. Found himon the 1860 Lodi, Seneca, New York census (img 25) as Wm Shannon age 22.
