Christine Ann Painton and David Wesley Finger were united in marriage on August 29 at the First Presbyterian Church in Honeoye Falls, with Rev. Arthur Guild officiating.
The bride i s the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Painton of Christy Lane in Webster.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Finger of Rittenhouse Drive in Honeoye Falls.
The bride wore an ivory gown of English net over satin with a mantilla of English net. She carried a cascade of white sweetheart roses, orchids, stephanotis and ivy. Valerie Painton, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore an apricot gown trimmed with lace and carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses and miniature carnations tipped in apricot. The bridesmaids were Nancy Wilcox, cousin of the bride, of Williamson, Catherine Mowers, sister of the groom, of Honeoye Falls and Brenda Tripp of Holcomb. Leonard Tripp of Holcomb was the best man. Ushers were Robert Finger, brother of the groom, of Canandaigua, John Tolomay of Henrietta, Jeffrey Mowers of Honeoye Falls, Robert Painton and Eric Painton, brothers of the bride, both of Webster.
A reception followed the ceremony at Valley Echo on Browncroft Boulevard. The couple spent their honeymoon in Toronto and will reside in Honeoye Falls.
Christine is a 1977 graduate of Schroeder High School in Webster. She attended Bowling Green University in Ohio and is currenly at Nazareth in Rochester, where she is studying early childhood education. David is a 1975 graduate of Honeoye Falls-Lima High School and a 1976 graduate of Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is employed at RF Communications in Rochester and attends RIT for electrical engineering. - Webster Herald September 16, 1981
