Word has been received here of the death last week of Frederick P. Clark, 59, Tillson native who was Westchester city planning authority. Clark, a resident of 100 Drake-Smith Lane, Rye, died at United Hospital, Port Chester, after suffering an apparent stroke. He served as planning consultant to communities in Westchester County, Long Island and Connecticut and in Putnam County. For 17 years, he served as chairman of the Rye Planning Commission and was owner of Frederick P. Clark Associates of 29 Locust Avenue, Rye
Born in Tillson, July 7, 1908, he was the son of Mrs. Grace Darling Pareis Clark of Kingston and the late Leon Clark.
He was a member of the 1926 Kingston High School graduating class. Clark received a bachelor of architecture degree from Cornell University in 1933 and was lecturer at Cornell, Columbia and MIT. He was a past president of the American Institute of Planners, Director of the American Society of Planning Officials and executive director of the Regional Planning Association of New York City. Surviving in addition to his mother are his widow, the former Jane Ashworth Mason three sons, Frederick Pareis Jr. of Del Mar, Calif., Bruce Monroe of Norwalk and Douglas Mason of Charlotte, N. C two brothers, L. Herbert of Atlanta and Donald C. of Garden City. Three grandchildren also survive. - The Kingston Daily Freeman May 25, 1968
