Oscar Lowe, 85, widely known resident of Locke, died Sunday in Cortland City Hospital where he had been a patient for some time. Mr. Lowe suffered a fractured hip shortly after the holidays. He was born in Locke and passed his entire life in that community. He was a prominent farmer in that township for many years. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Locke. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Densmore, and a son, Charles Lowe, both of Locke, and also by two grandsons, Charles Densmore of Geneva and Chalmer Densmore of Cortland. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the daughter's home. Rev. P. J. Williams, pastor of Locke Methodist Episcopal Church, officiated.
