Found her on the 1880 Weston, Schuyler, New York census (dist 153 img 2) as
Beulah Murray age 39.
Found her on the 1900 Tyrone, Schuyler, New York census (dist 54 img 7) as
Beulah Murry age 58, widow. She is in the household of her mother
Betsy M. Potter (also a widow).
Found her on the 1920 Orange, Schuyler, New York census (dist 71 img 1) as
Beulah Hughes age 79.
The death of
Mrs. Beulah Hughes occurred Wednesday afternoon after a short illness. She was 83 years of age and was born at Monterey and had always lived in this vicinity with the exception of a few years in Maryland.
Her maiden name was Miss
Beulah Potter. She was married at an early age to
T. E. Murray, of Tyrone and for many years Mr. and Mrs. Murray were proprietors of the Tyrone hotel and had a wide acquaintance all through this part of the state.
After Mr. Murray's death, Mrs. Murray was married to Mr. Hughes of this place. His death occurred about two years ago.
She leaves one son,
Leroy O. Murray of Wayne, and one sister,
Mrs. Loretta Vine, of Bradford; and two brothers,
Orson Potter of Hornell, and
Fred Potter of Norfolk, Va.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the home of John Halloek in Wayne and burial will be made in Tyrone cemetery. The Rev. Thomas Packard will have charge of the services, Mrs. Hughes having been a member of the Presbyterian church there for many years.
