Attended by a maid of honor and two bridesmaids, Miss Beverly Anne Boyce became the bride of Roger Elwin Fingar at 7 o'clock last night in a candlelight ceremony in the Ogden-Hillcrest Methodist Church, Hillcrest. The Rev. Russell J. Hawke read the double-ring service. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rollyn Wilson Boyce, 1245 Cornell Avenue, Hillcrest. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Elsie Fingar of Penn Yan.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. For her wedding, she wore a gown of Lyons lace and imported illusion fashioned with a bouffant skirt which terminated in a chapellength train. Her triple-tiered veil of nylon tulle fell from a Juliet cap of satin and lace trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis.
Miss Marilyn Boyce attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jack Budd and Mrs. Kenneth Cowell. They wore waltz-length gowns of Nile green tulle over taffeta and carried bouquets of violets and yellow freesia. Peter Fingar was best man for his brother. Ushers were Jack Budd and Kenneth Cowell.
After a reception for 150 guests in the church parlors, the couple left for a wedding trip to New York City. They will reside in Rochester where the bridegroom is emphoyed by Davenport Machine Food Co. The bride is a graduate of Binghamton North High School where she was affiliated with Delta Gamma Delta Sorority. She attended Keuka College and is employed by Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester. The bridegroom is a veteran with two years' service in the U. S. Navy during World War 2. - The Sunday Press March 15, 1953
