Dorothy Bodeewes Finger, born February 7, 1929 and went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2011. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, found the love of her life, George W. Finger at the University of Arizona, who moved her to Texas upon marriage.
Dorothy lived in El Paso, Texas from 1954 to 2004 before moving to Dallas to be near her daughters. Dorothy’s time in El Paso was precious to her and was the topic of most of her conversations since she moved to Dallas. She and George were members of St. Francis on the Hill Episcopal Church.
Dorothy’s favorite pastimes were shopping, cooking, travel, church activities, shopping, civic volunteer work (she loved her community!), entertaining and shopping. She really considered her dear El Paso friends as family! She is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Finger, and granddaughter Mary Margaret Malloy. Survived by her daughters, Pamela F. Dunn and her husband W. Byron Dunn and grandchildren Byron Jr. and, soon-to-be wife Nellie Simpson, Jennifer Carlson and her husband Zane, and Debbie F. Malloy and her husband Craig Malloy and grandchildren William and George Malloy, her brother, Jack Bodeewes and his wife Jeanette, as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
