The home of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Marenes at Montrose, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Tuesday afternoon, October 17, when their only daughter, Violet May, was united in marriage to Homer E. Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Laton Moore of Hudson, N. Y.
Promptly at 4 o'clock, to the strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Florence Moore, sister of the groom, the bridal party entered the parlor and under an arch of mountain pine and autumn foliage, the ceremony was performed by the Rev. George C. Dangrrmond, the bride's pastor and a former pastor of the groom.
The bride was charming and sweet in a wedding gown of white crepe de chine, and carried a bouquet, of white roses. She was attended by Miss Anna S. Olandt, daughter of the former pastor, who wore a gown of orchid organdie and carried yellow roses. Benjamin A. Welscher was best man.
After a wedding supper, amid showers of confetti and the congratulations of all present, the bride and groom left for their wedding trip to the Bermuda Islands, On their return Mr. and Mrs. Moore will reside at Hudson, N. Y. - The Highland Democrat October 21, 1922 page 5
