Victor graduated from Hudson High School, Hobart College and the Albany Medical School prior to serving in the 12th Air Force Division from 1942 to 1945 with the rank of Lt. Colonel. Prior to his death he was the medical examiner for the Equitable Life Insurance Company. - Lee Fingar

Dr. Victor J. Fingar, an assistant medical director of The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States since 1946, died on Monday at his home in West Ghent, N.Y., according to word received here yesterday. His age was 41. He had an office at 393 Seventh Ave.
Born in Ghent, Dr. Fingar was graduated in 1928 from Hobart College and in 1932 from Albany Medical School. In 1932-40 he engaged in general practice at Brasher Falls, N.Y., also serving there as medical examiner for the Equitable. During the recent war he served as a major with the Twelfth Air Force in North Africa and Italy. He returned to the Equitable in 1945.
