Found her on the 1880 Benton, Yates, New York census (dist 215 img 36) as
Lucy A. Rector age 28.
Found her on the 1900 Penn Yan, Yates, New York census (dist 144 img 27) as
Lucy Rector age 48.
Mrs. Lucy Ann Rector passed away at her home on Cornwell street, Penn Yan, June 22, 1908, after an illness of many months, during which she suffered greatly. Deceased was born November 13, 1851 was united in marriage to Madison Rector July 4, 1874.
She was devoted to her home. Here she filled the position of wife, mother and housekeeper. She had a quiet and loving disposition. During her long weeks of illness she received all the care and attention that loving hands and medical skill could give, but the decree that her life work was completed was not to be changed. She was ever faithful to the trust committed to her care.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Maude, one son, Murray Rector, who resides in Watkins, and has been in the employ of Northern Central Railroad company for a number of years.
A very beautiful and impressive sermon was preached at her late residence by the Rev. Charles Love, pastor of the Free Methodist church of Penn Yan. Interment in Lake View. Penn Yan Democrat July 3, 1908
