Jerrold C. Finger, 72, of Chestnut Street, North Syracuse, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A native of North Syracuse, he was a life member and past chief of the North Syracuse Fire Department, which he joined in 1952. He was an avid gardener and member of the Toy Train Collectors Society. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the North Syracuse Highway Department, retiring in 1986.
Surviving are his wife, Coralene; two daughters, Donna Berwald of Marcellus and Jerilyn Finger of North Syracuse; two sons, Jerrold of North Syracuse and Keith of Constantia; a sister, Elizabeth Kinnear of North Syracuse; and five grandchildren. - The Syracuse Herald American March 3, 1996
