Nothing of greater interest to a large circle of friends here and elsewhere has occurred in the social circles of Dickson this season than the marriage of Miss Bertha Wright Rogers to Mr. H. Ellis Finger, of Ripley, Miss.
The bride, one of the most lovable and accomplished young ladies of Dickson, is the oldest daughter of our esteemed townsman, Mr. W. T. Rogers. The groom, a prosperous young merchant, has made a most favorable impression upon the people whom he has met in his visits from time to time to Miss Rogers. So the couple bear with them the very best wishes of many friends for their future happiness. The beautifully, solemn and impressive words that united these two lives were spoken by Rey. T. J. Baker at 8 O'clock Wednesday morning, June 9, in the parlor of her father's pretty home on Main Street.
Immediately after the ceremony, the pair left for St. Louis, where they will spend a day or two; then, returning by Memphis, where they will make a short stop, will go on to their Mississippi home. They expect to arrive Saturday evening, the 12th, when they will be
tendered a splendid reception in the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Finger. Until their own house is completed, Mr. and Mrs. Finger will be at home to their many friends in this home. - Herald, Dickson, Tennessee June 16, 1909
