Jacob A. Raup, 80, of Kinderhook died at his home there last Friday. Born in the town of Ghent, Mr. Raup was the son of Peter Raup and Phillippine Williams. He had resided In Kinderhook for the past 12 years.
Mr. Raup was a member of the West Ghent Reformed church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Martha Finger, of Nassau: a son, Harold J. Raup, of Pittsfleld, Mass., and two daughters, Miss Edith A. Raup, of Albany, and Mrs. Frank Vosburgh, of Kinderhook. Two grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Vosburgh in Kinderhook. with Rev. Snyder, of West Ghent. In charge of the services. Interment followed In the West Ghent. - The Hudson Evening Register April 21, 1944
