Barbara Fingar. -

Barbara Fingar, daughter of
Mrs. Marjorie Fingar of Davenport, was injured when she fell from her bicycle. Several
stitches were taken to close the wounds above her eye and on her arm. -

Barbara Lee Fingar, daughter of Mrs. Marjorie Fingar of Davenport was married May 18 to John Ballard Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Ballard Sr., also of Davenport. The Rev. Floyd Crispel performed the ceremony at Davenport Methodist church. Organ music was provided by Miss Edna Cook of Oneonta.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Harry Calhoun. She wore a princess style street length gown of bridal satin
brocade. It was styled with vee neckline and long sleeves ending in bridal points. Her shoulder length veil was attached to a crown of seed pearls and she carried a cascade of carnations and lilies of the valley.
Maid of honor for the bride was her sister, Beverly Fingar of Davenport, who wore a princess style gown of pale blue satin.
Fred Ballard of Davenport, brother of the groom, served as best man. William Fingar, brother of the bride, and Richard Ballard, brother of the groom, were ushers.
After the ceremony, the couple greeted 150 guests at a reception held at the church parlors.
The bride is a 1958 graduate of Charlotte Valley Central school, Davenport, and since has been employed at the Trust Department of Wilber National Bank, Oneonta.
The groom attended Charlotte Valley Central school and is a graduate of Modern Welding school, Schenectady. He is employed by Pratt Whitney Aircraft, North Haven, Conn. The couple will make their home in Meriden, Conn - Stamford Mirror-Recorder May 29, 1963
