At 2 o'clock Monday, December 30, Miss Betty Laws, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Laws, Penn Yan, R. D. 5, and Richard Fingar, son of Russell Fingar, Penn Yan, R.D. 5, were united in holy matrimony by the Rev. John O'Beirn at St. Michael's rectory, Penn Yan. They were attended by Miss Virginia Schwehm of Bingamton, a friend of the bride and Cole Fingar of Penn Yan brother of the groom. The bride was attire in grey silk jersey and carried a bouquet of red roses. Miss
Schwehm wore black silk crepe and carried yellow roses.
Miss Laws graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1938 and is working at the office of the Yates county board of elections in the Arcade building. Mr. Fingar manages the Triangle Service station on the corner of Wagener and Water streets. They are now residing at 147
