George Frank Finger died at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at his residence, 203 North Florida avenue after a severe illness of two or three weeks, following a long period of ill health.
Mr. Finger who was a member of one of Lakeland's pioneer families, was born fifty-one years ago in North Carolina, and has been a resident of Florida for the last twenty-five years, spending most of that time in Lakeland, where he was well known as a substantial and loyal citizen. Practically all his life was spent in the sawmill business.
He is survived by his devoted wife, his mother, Mrs. S.F. Finger, his two children, Miss Minnie and George Finger of Roanoke, Va., his four brothers, W.L. and R.L. of Lakeland, G.C. Finger of Orlando, and S.J. Finger of Waycross, Ga., and a sister Mrs. Pet Sutton of Lakeland.
