Adrian H. Raymer, 73, of 785 Route 14 South, died this morning (Nov. 2) at his home. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday at the Boeheirn-Pusateri Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, the Rev. Gary Sawteile officiating. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyons Town Ambulance Fund. Mr. Raymer was born in Stanley. Aug. 30, 1912 son of Alvin and Ruth Ann Blakesley Raymer. He retired in 1981 from the Wayne County Nursing Home where he was a maintenance and sanitation engineer. He had also worked for the WT.T. Grant Co., Hathaway Bread Co., and Jewel Tea Co. He attended Hobart College for two years, and served in the Army Reserves. Mr. Raymer was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and was a life resident of the area. His first wife Barnetta died in 1961, and his son Brian Raymer died in 1984. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Denosky Raymer a son, Adrian Blake of Varysburg two daughters, Jeanne Raymer of Lyons, and Carole Sherer of Arlington, Va. three stepsons, Martin VanScott of Newark, Mark and Fred VanScott, both of Lyons two stepdaughters, Caryl Pitzeruse of Lyons, and Karen Leone of Palmyra a sister, Naomi Rosenthal of Waterloo a brother, Ivan Raymer of Geneva 19 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. - Finger Lakes Times November 2, 1985 Found him on the 1920 Cicero, Onondaga, New York census (dist 41 img 17) as Adrian H. Raymer age 7.
