Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow for Carlos C. Stickles, 53, of Kinderhook Lake, who died Saturday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Philmont, Mr. Stickles had lived in the North End of Albany most of his life before moving to Niverville four years ago. He was a driver for the United Traction Company 32 years, and since 1956 had been on the Delmar line.
Mr. Stickles was a member of the Niverville Volunteer Fire Department the Amalgamated Association of Street Electric Railway and Motor Coach Employes of America, Local 1231 Fort Orange Council, Boy Scouts of America Troop 117, Niverville the Kinderhook Lake Improvement Association, and the Fish, Game and Boat Clubs of Kinderhook.
Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline Szary a son, Carlos C. Stickles Jr., a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Gilday his mother, Mrs. Florence G. Breithart, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a. m. in Zwack & Sons Mortuary, 184 Central Ave., with the Rev. George Long, assistant pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. The Knickerbocker News August 11, 1958
