JERUSALEM - Gary Dinehart, 36, of Branchport, suffered bumps and bruises when a tractor rolled over him yesterday afternoon.
A Yates County sheriff's deputy said Dinehart was trying to pull a log up an embankment when the tractor started sliding down. He tried to jam the tractor against a stump, but the machine rolled over, fell into a 40-foot ravine and broke in half. A fellow worker, Joe Gage of Adams Road, Jerusalem, ran to the nearest phone to call for help. Dinehart was admitted to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital for observation. - Finger Lakes Times September 14, 1982
