A wedding of interest to many people thruout the county took place at the home of Garfield Moore in Germantown Tuesday Sept. 20 at six o'clock in the evening, when Miss Gladys Elizabeth Fingar, daughter of Mr and Mrs Harold C. Fingar was married to Dr. De Forest Becker of 104 West 174th St., New York city, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. W. E. Traver.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, presented a charming appearance gowned in bridal satin with applique lace, wearing a veil and carrying a shower bouquet of brides roses. She had as her attendant Miss Helen Strevell of Berne, N. Y. who was beautifully gowned in orchid taffeta.
Miss Charline Fingar of Poughkeepsie was flower girl and Dr. Chester Hochtrasser of Albany, N. Y., acted as best man. Milton Hart of Berne, N. Y. and Garfield Moore of Germantown were ushers. The house decorations forming a color scheme of green and white, were very beautiful. Mrs DeWitt Moore played the wedding marches.
About seventy-five guests were present at the reception which followed the ceremony and later the bride and groom left on a wedding journey to Bermuda. Returning, they will make their home in New York city. The Columbia Republican September 27, 1921
