BLUFF POINT - Miss Cynthia Lou Fingar became the bride of James Jeffrey Smart in First United Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony, May 14. The Rev. Stanley Robinson, pastor, performed the noon wedding. Miss Connie Crans was the organist.
Vases of white pompons decorated the church. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Virginia S. Fingar of RD1, Bluff Point, and R. Cole Fingar of 340 W. Lake Rd., Penn Yan. The bridegroom's parents are Mrs. Barbara Smart of 204 Florence Ave., Penn Yan, and Russell Smart of 404 E. Lake Rd., Penn Yan.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Mary Kay Fingar of Fairport, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Fingar, sister of the bride Pam Smart, sister of the bridegroom Mary Hanion of Syracuse Patty Bromsey of Binghamton Penny Floyd of Binghamton, cousin of the bride, and Linda Ann Fingar of Dundee, niece of the bride. Douglas Tones of Penn Yan, was best man. Ushers were Kevin McAvoy of Hall Stephen w. Fingar, Dick Coweii, Paul Simmons and Joe Trombley, all of Penn Yan.
A reception for 125 guests was given at Herr Jensen's Restaurant. The bride graduated from Penn Yan Academy and C. S. Wilson Memorial School of Nursing, Binghamton. She is employed at Wilson Memorial Hospital. The bridegroom graduated from Penn Yan Academy and is employed by Local 7 as a boiler maker.
