Frieda M. Arms, 98, died April 28, 2000, at Sharon Health Care Center, Sharon.
Mrs. Arms resided in the Bronx before moving to Millerton where she lived for 24 years before moving to Sharon, where she last resided for two-and-a-half years.
She and her husband were very active in both Masonic and Eastern Star activities.
Mrs. Arms was a talented needle worker and won several awards for her tatting. At the age of 90, she was given the key to Millerton by the Village Mayor.
Born Jan. 4, 1902, in the Bronx, she was the daughter of John and Freida Bauer Finger.
Her husband, Philip M. Arms, died Aug. 6, 1961. Survivors include two daughters, Frieda Thompson, Amenia, and Katherine Nelligan, Bedford Hills; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons and two brothers. - The Harlem Daily Times May 4, 2000
