Mada married LeRoy E. Raymond, former manager of the Farmers Elevator, at her father's home on a June morning in 1908. After family, guests, and the wedding party enjoyed a three-course breakfast, the newlyweds took the train to their new home in Douglass, near Wichita, where Raymond owned his own grain elevator.
